RECENT RAVS Hi there. My pillow arrived in August and I have not really had a lick of trouble with reflux ever since. It seemed to knock the problem on the head straight away.
The pillow is extremely comfortable, and I am also able to lie on my right side instead of only on my back, which was all I could manage before.
I am very glad that I bought the lumbar support with it, and on top of it I also use an ergonomic neck pillow, which I need for a neck problem. Everything goes together very well. It has made a big difference to me.
Many thanks, and many thanks also for the quick dispatch.
Kind regards.
Trish Devine
I cannot sleep without my Prop-Up Pillow, not only for my reflux but also for emphysema. It has made SUCH a difference to my life. Joyce Culver age 74
The Prop-up pillow has certainly helped with my acid reflux...such a relief not to have blocks to raise the head of the bed.
Your pillow has given me great relief from Acid Reflux disease. Traveling without it has caused many sleepless nights and a lot of suffering. Great Idea!
a very good pillow, It has eliminated my acid reflux, therefore eliminating any prescriptions or over the counter med's.
I will not sleep without my Prop-up pillow. It has made such a difference in my health.
The pillow has completely changed the way I sleep. Even family members who do not have acid reflux have commented on how comfortable it is so sleep after a late night dinner.
I received the item fast. It was exactly as described. Very pleased with transaction with this seller.
Item as described and arrived in a Spacebag--good for future storage. Seller promptly answered my questions via email.
Pillow arrived promptly and was well packaged. It is much more comfortable than I expected!
I have acid reflux and was going to buy the elevated wedge until I read a review about having back and neck issues that indicated the prop-up pillow was much better and how it was designed by a gastroenterologist for my type of condition and problems; it proved to be worth it in more ways than one - it's a really great product; I'm glad I read the review and got it.

Elevate the head of your bed at least six inches by putting a couple of bricks or old books under the top legs of your mattress frame. You can also purchase special foam wedge pillow made for this purpose from your local pharmacy supply store, or try a more advanced pillow by contacting www.propuppillow.com. This will reduce the return of stomach acidity and semi-digested food into your esophagus, throat, mouth and potentially your lungs when you are asleep. |

I gave The Prop up Pillow to a patient of mine with reflux (which was causing her asthmatic symptoms), and she reported significant relief of symptoms after the first night of use. Prior to using the Prop Up Pillow she followed anti reflux measures and took Prevacid but remained symptomatic with wheezing and acute episodes of shortness of breath during the night. Now with the use of The Prop Up Pillow she has much better control over her discomfort and has been able to decrease her doses of medication, thereby reducing her medical costs dramatically. I recommend this Pillow to anyone with Acid reflux, GERD, Barretts Esophagus, asthma, heart or lung troubles to naturally assist your body with these conditions. |

As a physician whose husband suffers from Gastro intestinal reflux disorder (G.E.R.D.) I was very pleased to have found The Prop Up Pillow !! As a result of utilizing the pillow and following the prescribed medical therapy my husband has experienced a reduction in the amount of times he is awakened with discomfort in the middle of the night. This sleep system is incredibly comfortable and I wish to extend our thanks to you ! |

Milkweed - November 19, 2007 It Works!
Bought this for my husband who had severe acid reflux that woke him up at night more than 4-5 times per week. It took awhile for it to ship to us but once it arrived and he started using it, it has helped tremendously. It is a nice large size (both length & width). My husband is 6ft tall and appreciates it being larger than other wedge pillows we had looked at. The washable cover is a plus too. My husband doesn't use the lumbar supports - feels the wedge is comfy enough by itself. |

M. Barber - June 25, 2009 Excellent GERD/Acid Reflux Relief
I've had acid reflux/GERD for more than 10 years. Even with Prilosec, which eliminated daytime reflux, I would still have flare ups when lying horizontally in bed. My doctor recommended raising the head of my bed 6 inches but let's be real - who wants to sleep with their whole body on an incline like that? This type of angled pillow is the perfect solution. I did lots of research - there's quite a few types of wedge-shaped pillows to choose from, all of which are meant to alleviate the symptoms of GERD. I decided that even though the Prop Up Pillow costs more than some competing versions of similar pillows, the larger size and memory foam material would be worth it. I'm a tall guy so having a few extra inches to work with can make a huge difference. I saw immediate results the very first night. No more waking up with that acidic taste in my mouth, sore throat, and hoarse-sounding voice. No more waking up in excruciating pain during the night to chomp down a handful of antacids. It did take some experimentation to figure out how to sleep on it, and took a few nights to get used to sleeping with half my body on an incline. By the fourth night it felt normal. I bought the souped-up version that comes with lumbar and neck support pillows but I've found it's easier using the Prop Up Pillow with my regular pillow on top of it. The lumbar and neck supports didn't provide any noticeable difference, so consider buying just the larger pillow and save yourself the extra $ (you can buy without the extra pillows at http://propuppillow.com/). As for size, its larger shape is very accommodating. I'm 6'2 with broad shoulders and I fit on it just fine. I can also see this easily supporting someone up to 6 inches taller. Other wedge-shaped pillows meant to treat GERD are not as large and I can't imagine a tall person sleeping on something smaller than this. Only two downsides to report, neither of which is significant: #1: Combined with my regular pillow on top of the Prop-Up Pillow, I'm now over a foot higher than my wife when laying in bed. It's a bummer to not be able to cuddle as we fall asleep. But if we really want to cuddle I just put the pillow on the floor till it's time to fall asleep. #2: I've found that I slide down on the pillow so when I wake up in the morning I'm about 6 inches lower from where I started. The pillow is big enough that my shoulders are still raised above my stomach and I haven't experienced any night-time acid reflux so it still works even with the shifting. I suppose some amount of shifting during the night is to be expected, so just be aware of that. Overall, I give the Prop-Up Pillow 5 stars. I give it my highest recommendation to anyone who has GERD/Acid Reflux and especially those who have the worst symptoms when laying in bed. |

Dr. S. - October 5, 2006 Wonderful Pillow. Highly Recommended!
I purchased the Prop-Up Pillow to help alleviate the symptoms of acid reflux onset by my pregnancy. At first I tried a recommendation from a colleague to raise the head of my bed a few inches. This resulted in both my husband and I slowly sliding down the bed and ending up scrunched up at the bottom in the morning. Using regular pillows did not work either as I would end up with a serious neck ache and a very uncomfortable burning sensation in my esophagus proving that method was not helpful either. Then I found the Prop-Up Pillow online. I decided to call the company to ask a few questions before I ordered the pillow. The gentleman who answered the phone was extremely helpful and very knowledgeable about the product and the condition. I placed my order and received the pillow within a very short period of time. FINALLY I can sleep the entire night comfortably and my acid reflux symptoms have disappeared. My due date is coming up very fast and I love this pillow more and more each night. I highly recommend this pillow to anyone who is suffering from Acid reflux. |

Sue from North Florida - November 19, 2006 It really helped me.
I had very bad hoarseness from acid reflux. Prescription medicine wasn't helping. My doctor advised elevating the head of the bed with blocks but that was not practical. I showed my doctor a picture of the prop up pillow and he said it looked to be the correct dimension. Within a couple of days after receiving my pillow my hoarseness was gone! Yes, the pillow appears expensive but it is much less expensive than buying an adjustable bed. I don't use the neck roll - I prefer to use my own memory foam pillow. My doctor said the back roll is to help keep one from sliding down the pillow. I strongly recommend this pillow to anyone with GERD/acid reflux. |
K. Leontiades - August 2, 2006 Eliminated my acid reflux!
My acid reflux started a year ago. Whenever I lied down, my esophagus would start hurting within minutes. I tried just about all of the various acid reducing pills, both prescription and non-prescription as well as many natural remedies, with limited effect. I still woke up every hour or two at night and had to chew antacids to be able to sleep the next hour. After using this pillow for a few days my acid reflux pain disappeared and I don't need medication anymore. I place the back support pillow along the lower edge of the wedge pillow, inside the pillowcase, to elevate my rib cage. I use the neck support pillow together with a regular pillow, inside a pillowcase, to support my neck. I try to sleep as much as possible on my left side, although after a couple of weeks there was no discomfort sleeping either on my back or on my right side. |

Charles A. Nicholson - San Marcos, TX
In November 2001, I was diagnosed, through endoscope and biopsy, with acid reflux disease (GERD), chronic gastritis, hiatus hernia, and Barrett's esophagus, although I was essentially asymptomatic. The biopsy was negative for esophageal cancer and restrictions, but I have to take periodic endoscopies because Barrett's does not go away even with lifetime medication .
This was a fortunate discovery because I was hospitalized at the time for tests to determine the cause of some other vague but serious symptoms. The endoscope was a last- minute decision by the consulting gastroenterologist just before I would have been discharged with no other diagnoses. I received my gastroenterologist's prescription for a wedge pillow because I was still under TRICARE PRIME as a military retiree.
I became eligible for MEDICARE/TRICARE FOR LIFE on November 1, and had my second endoscope early in the month. I had been using the pillow and an elevated bed for approximately one year. The results of diet and sleeping on the Prop up pillow were so positive that the acid reflux damage is under control, the Barrett's is no worse, and this biopsy showed no significant worsening.
As a result I do not have to have another endoscope for two years.
The doctor who gave me a prescription for the pillow is Dr. Thomas Kleczka, 1305 Wonder World Drive, Suite 200, San Marcos TX 78666. He is a MEDICARE provider and is a highly respected gastroenterologist in our city. |

Julia M. Davis, PhD - Iowa City, IA I did not have a medical referral for the pillow, but will be glad to ask my doctor to recommend it in the future. The pillow has made an enormous impact on my life. Before purchasing it I spent many hours every night trying to get comfortable without exacerbating my acid reflux. As a result I was always tired, experienced a lot of reflux just when I needed to sleep, and more or less dreaded bedtime. The pillow has changed completely my nightly experiences. I use the pillow every night and I take it with me when I travel by car. I may look funny carrying it through a hotel lobby, but the fact that I don't care is a measure of how dependent I am on it. Quite simply, the pillow has changed my life. I use fewer prescription drugs, almost no over the counter antacids, and I sleep comfortably and well. I would recommend the pillow to anyone who has significant GERD. l can also sleep comfortably on my side. I don't ever intend to be without it. Thank you for your ingenuity in developing the pillow and making it available to people like me. |

Hello! I'm so glad you got in touch with me. I know my doctor can't help with the testimonial, but I certainly can. I was diagnosed with a small hiatal hernia and severe acid reflux in 1997. I was on Prevacid or Prilosec (depending on what the insurance would cover, and it changed at least biannually) at 30mg or 20mg (respectively) daily until February of 2002 when my symptoms dramatically worsened. I was waking up choking on stomach acid at night, scaring my husband and myself out of our wits. I was upped to the highest safe dose of Prevacid, 30mg twice a day, but that was only marginally helpful. My doctor suggested I look around for a wedge pillow or prop up my bed. I went online and after much research came upon your website. Though it was more expensive than many other pillows, your information led me to believe the extra money would be worth it. I can strongly attest that it was worth every penny. I had dramatically changed my diet, increased exercise, and didn't eat for at least 4 hours before I went to bed, sometimes sleeping in a recliner, but I still dreaded going to sleep, knowing I would be woken up with stomach acid in my mouth. The first night was amazing. I was comfortable, and able to sleep on my side and for the first time in months slept through the night! My symptoms during the day were even somewhat relieved. I went on vacation and insisted on taking the pillow with me (it filled our 2nd suitcase completely, crammed in as tight as I could get it, but because it's memory foam took its proper shape when unpacked) which saved my vacation. I know without the pillow I would have been miserable the whole time. I have since had to have the Fundoplication surgery to save my esophagus from further damage, but I would never have made it through the 9 months until the surgery without your pillow. (The pillow was great for the recovery period too!) I would without reservation recommend this pillow to anyone who is having night reflux issues. It was a lifesaver! (No, seriously, it was. My doctor told me that had I inhaled the stomach acid I was choking on, I could have done some seriously life-threatening damage.) My only wish was that I had known about it sooner, maybe I could have avoided the surgery altogether. If you need any additional information please don't hesitate to ask! I hope you get the Medicare approval you seek. I know that this pillow will be a great help to many people in need. Thanks! |

Dr. Tejinder Glamour ADVANCED GASTRO & LIVER CARE, P.A. BOARD CERTIFIED : INTERNAL MEDICINE AND GASTROENTEROLOGY For years I have been looking for the correct pillow to offer my patients. The gravity of not sleeping on an incline of one who has acid reflux, G.E.R.D., Barretts Esophagus: to note a few, has always fueled my desire to find a product that would help to alleviate this danger. I am impressed at The Prop Up Pillow's attention to detail, in that the added neck and back support memory foam is just a bonus feature. I have concluded because The Prop Up Pillow is the only patented acid reflux pillow on the market and because of the added attention to comfort in mind that it is the only one I shall endorse and recommend to all of my colleagues and patients. Thank You for helping me help my patients, |
Cindy Davis - Hagerstown, MD.
Thanks so much for designing this pillow. My acid reflux was so bad at night that I spent many nights sleeping in the recliner or propped up in bed with three to four pillows. I also suffer from a herniated disc in the lower back making it almost impossible to sleep comfortably. I have purchased almost everthing available on the market to try to alleviate my back pain. Nothing has worked until now. Thanks to this wonderful pillow, I can sleep without any problems. The design makes it so comfortable for my neck and lower back. I get up in the morning and my back doesn't bother me. I highly recommend this pillow and will tell everyone that I know about it. |

..." For years I have had severe back problems due to obesity and then a drastic weight loss. I have been unable to sleep and have had to use several pillows and a wedge to be able to sleep semi-comfortably.
... This new pillow designed by E & M Products, Inc. is awesome!! I am finally able to sleep a full night without back pain. The pillow is very comfortable and supports all of the important areas-especially the arch in my back. Most support pillows don't provide full support; this pillow not only supports my neck but my lower back as well!!! ...I was willing to pay millions to be able to sleep comfortably so I think the price is very reasonable compared to the beds that cost thousands."

Dear E & M Products,
As a heart patient with the complication of a herniated disc, I thought I should let you know how immeasurably grateful I am to use your adjustable pillow. The Prop Up Pillow gives me tremendous support with no sacrifice in comfort.
My Doctor explained that I should sleep on an incline to keep the fluid from building upward, I have noticed a tremendous change and shall forward this information to my Doctor and friends.

Thank you so much for the Prop Up Pillow and the leg support. They arrived yesterday and John says the pillow is WONDERFUL compared to the uncomfortable hard wedge that he had been using. I would just like to share with you how excited I was to find this pillow. I had read why the pillow came in to existence, but just let me share why I wanted the pillow. My husband, John, has a syndrome called Superior Vena Cava it is serious and we are very distressed by the condition. His head and neck swell to an unreal size. Any way I pulled out an old wedge that I had in the house and I made John sleep on it for a few nights. It has helped with his symptoms but it is not very comfortable for him. Thanks again, Please feel free to use John and myself as references. The ability to sleep at night is so important to your well being the next day. Typically to sleep any other way but in a horizontal position contributes to a poor night's sleep. Your pillow allows John to sleep on his back, or on either of his sides, and still have his head elevated enough to have gravity bring his blood back towards his heart. The Prop up Pillow is a small miracle. Thank you . |

For me sleeping on an incline is a necessity due to my reflux. I have tried the other products, they were uncomfortable and hard. I am SO relieved to have now found The Prop Up Pillow !! Finally I am able to sleep my way to better health in comfort and luxury. I am very thankful to you for putting so much love into a product I can and shall use forever. Please feel free to use me as a reference to others so they will not waste their money on trying as many products as I had before finding The Prop Up Pillow !! |
